As many of you may know, our active user list is quite short, and there is but only one solution, finding new members. Now, I know that getting new members seems quite easy, though it is frankly the opposite. If there is one time on these forums that you are going to listen, do it now, because this issue is CRITICAL. Below I have posted a few methods to gain new users. Feel free to post your own ideas. Remember, we need all the help we can get to keep these forums alive!

Asking A Friend-

This is one of the most popular forms of forum recruitment, and how most forum communities were built! By asking a friend to join our forum, you are gaining a member to this community who you know, which is much better then getting a complete stranger! If I were to suggest any easy method of gaining members, I would choose this one.

Persuading A Group-

This method is most easily done in the RSF (RuneScape Forums). This is because the RSF has several things that restrict their members, including censors, strict rules, lack of features, no avatars, and several other things that our forums couldn't live without! When your foruming on RSF, you are using pretty plain and primitave technology. When persuading a group, always remember to include all of the positive features of our forum, and compare them against ours.

Merging Communities-

This may just be about one of the hardest methods, but when it works you will get a great outcome. When you merge two forums together, it is basically like dumping one bucket of water into another. All the communities are mixed, forming one forum. However, there are some regrets, but it is all mostly positive. When looking for a community to merge with, first make sure that they have somethings in common with us. Nothing can be worse then dumping two opposite communities together!

Adverts-

This is a very common, and pretty annoying method, but it works! By placing links to this forum on other forums and sites, via a signature, post, or any other method, you are practically inviting random people here. While this can have some negative results, it is one of the best ways to get people here.
